Your Voice Matters: From Hiding 🌑 to Shining ✨
Hello beautiful! 🌺
I am writing this on Wednesday, February 11th after having experienced the Super Bowl Half-Time show on Sunday. Three days in and I am still processing. I get emotional every time I think about the performance and now writing this blog post. My 1st one, as it should be! 🎉 I had been procrastinating on kickstarting this blog with the main excuse of “I don’t have time”. The truth, I wasn’t making the time. I was hiding behind “busyness” to mask the true reasons why I was avoiding getting started. Reasons, such as: fear of judgement, playing small, fear of being seen, impostor syndrome, sharing my voice, questioning whether anyone would care what I have to say. Just to name a few!
How often do we talk ourselves out of things that feel right?
How many times do we question our worth?
Why do we let fear lead the way?
There is always something that finally shakes us out of complacency, out of the cozy cave we are hiding in… to wake us up, so that we can Shine Our Light! ✨ Thanks for my shake up goes to Benito Martinez (aka Bad Bunny). Two (2) weeks in a row Benito has been center stage: winning the Album of the Year at the Grammy’s (1st time a Spanish language album has won) and headlining the Super Bowl halftime show. Watching Bad Bunny win the Album of the Year with a purely Spanish song line up and perform, in Spanish, at the Super Bowl halftime show… is just the purest example of achieving your dreams while remaining authentic and in integrity with yourself. Making it to this stage without an English album and performing in Spanish while intentionally curating each detail of scenery to showcase the history and the story of what it was like to grow up in Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷 It was a vibe, an experience, and the massive dose of inspiration I needed!
This is what the new paradigm in Human Design (more on this later) is all about. He has low key initiated a peaceful revolution. 💕✨ One built on love, authenticity and empowerment. The time is NOW!
Benito is walking the walk. Showing us how to be Unconditionally Authentic ✨. How many times have we heard? You have to fake it to make it. You have to sacrifice who you are to achieve your dreams. Don’t show the true or full you, people are not ready for it. We end up shrinking, playing small, doubting ourselves, creating new identities to the point where we don’t even recognize who we are anymore. We lose who we truly are and then get to embark on a whole journey of de-conditioning and rediscovery to find our true soul’s light.
Benito never sacrificed. He was clear on who he was and embodied that fully and unapologetically. And no it was not an easy journey, at first he was an outcast. He was judged for not following the “norm”. He did not play by the “rules” society had set. However, through all the naysayers, the critics, and the challenges… he stayed true to himself and his vision. He won over EVERYONE with his authenticity and uniqueness. He won over all generations, from my 93 year old grandma to my nieces and nephews. He has incorporated new sounds, classic sounds, has collaborated with everyone under the sun. Has created a new sense of unity and community by highlighting each person’s uniqueness and special gifts.
Where did this lead him? To one of the biggest global stages on Earth to perform the way he wanted, the language he wanted and embody the message he had for the world. As a fellow Puerto Rican I could not be prouder! 🇵🇷🥹🥰 His message of LOVE, UNITY, and AUTHENTICITY gave us all the permission to:

🦋 Be unique & authentic!
A fabulous reminder that:

💫 We are WORTHY!
💫 To lead with LOVE!
I am so grateful to be living and experiencing this historical time! Seeing the shifts, the crumbling of old structures that no longer serve us, the ripple effect of those who are standing up and using their voice/platform to spread love & empowerment to combat the hate and division. 🥹💕✨
